Agree side:
They agree with this topic with some reasons. Stopping the use of plastic improves Apollon's financial situation and environment. Stopping the use of plastic improves Apollon's financial situation and environment.  In the environment, plastics pollute water, and many of them are dumped in water.  That leads to pollution of the sea. Furthermore, even if you try to recycle them, you have to burn them at that time, which emits a lot of carbon dioxide. They start by stopping the use of sundries made of plastic. Agree side eventually wants to completely stop using plastic.

They disagree with this topic with some reasons. 
Plastics are not only derived from petroleum but also derived from biomass such as corn. Use them to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Plastic is an essential part of our gender.  So it is severe to stop using it completely. Plastic has the advantage that it is easy to make and can be made in large quantities at once.

Consensus:
They reached a consensus to change plastics to recyclable ones from a daily things such as shopping bags, drinking straws and plastic bottles in three years.

Introduce iPads

Today we held a panel discussion about introduce iPads in education in elementary school. Allan, Lay, Grace, Sia and I belong to this group.  We couldn’t reach consensus at this discussion. Let’s  following today’s discussion.

Allan and Grace agree with the idea of introduce iPad in elementary school. They mentioned some advantage. First, there is no need for textbooks, and many things can be done with a tablet, so efficiency is improved.  The price of the iPad itself is high, but not so high considering that it will be used for six years.  If textbooks are converted to data and downloaded every year, there is no need to carry heavy textbooks.  Children can break the tablet, but it's okay if the lower grades are managed by a teacher or insured if something goes wrong. The second is that tablet-based learning can stimulate and interest children.  Tablets can be used to study shapes and reactions that are difficult to imagine on paper media.  Finally, students who are absent from school due to poor physical condition or the like can make supplementary lectures and commentary while staying at home. It was said that individual guidance for students who were absent or unable to take classes was unfair education, and it was not good to break into private, so some friends suggested that you should teach.



I and Sia disagree this idea. There are several reasons for this. First, Paper work (textbooks and notebooks) is suitable for detailed work that requires concentration, and a tablet is a good way to capture rough information. This is the difference in the function of the brain due to the difference between the textbook and the light emitted from the medium as seen by the reflection of natural light.  Tablet studies are not suitable for studies that require more concentration and memory. Next, The need for a person to teach the correct tablet usage increases the burden on the leader.Also, the children have to learn more, so both have more time to get to the start line of the lesson. Even for busy teachers, increasing new learning can be a huge pain.

Finally, the topic concluded, "Use tablets for math and science dealing with visual information and still use paper textbooks for other subjects."  However, it did not reach consensus.
Through this discussion, I realized that my ability to listen and speak was extremely low compared to others.  Even if a good idea or opinion appeared in response to a question, it was often impossible to convey it because of the lack of vocabulary and lack of expressiveness.  I didn't have much preparation for discussion (thinking deeply on the agenda and consolidating my opinion) and regretted it.

Conclusion 
At last, this discussion’s majority decision was done by voting. All of audience diagreed with instituting the casino, so this topic didn't reach a consensus. 


My opinion
I think casino don’t need the casino in Apollon because now Apollon economy is not bad .Foreign people also can enjoy Apollon by touching the nature and joining festival in Apollon. Improvement of economy is important without saying but public safety and image of Apollon are more important. I think there are other ways to develope economy. If we want to imrove the economy in Apollon, we should think about the idea that all of people can enjoy the event and the buidling without gap.

・My opinion

First of all, we talked about “abolition of school uniforms”.  But that agenda was already settled in 2014.  As a result, uniforms were abolished and a new system was started.  It is to put a badge on plain clothes.  And we changed the agenda to it and talked.  Me and Ray disagreed with this opinion.  I commented that putting a badge is the same as showing that you are a student.  However, this opinion seems to have been an inappropriate opinion in the end.  My opinion has deflected the whole discussion story.  In the first place, we proceeded without realizing that the agenda was already in the past from the beginning, wasting time.  I was talking without knowing the meaning of the badge.  Eventually, we couldn’t reach a consensus.

Should we build an airport in Apollon

This time, we discussed whether to make an airport in Apollon.
There was an opinion from the other side considering noise and environmental aspects, and an opinion from the support side to attract more tourists and trade.  I agree with the airport construction.
